Southwest Securities, FSB offers a complete range of banking services while specializing in three primary areas – commercial banking, residential construction lending and mortgage purchase.

We have become one of the four largest banks headquartered in Dallas as a result of the synergistic relationship we enjoy with our brokerage firm. Most of the bank’s loans are funded by customer deposits swept from the brokerage firm. This is an advantageous two-way street for our customers. Brokerage customers benefit from FDIC insurance and competitive interest rates on their deposits, and bank customers benefit from being able to borrow money to support their business operations.

The broker-bank concept offers the promise of synergies across a wide range of service areas. We originate the loans that are on our books. Every loan represents a relationship that we are building – and an extension of the “building what you value” concept. Both the banking and retail brokerage segments have a target market for growth that includes the southwestern states from Texas to California.

The bank opened its first out-of-state banking center in New Mexico and plans to continue opening at least two new locations a year as opportunities permit. Much of our bank’s growth can be attributed to our strategy of hiring experienced bankers and building new banking centers in locations where they have established relationships and are well known. This strategy combined with the ability to sweep brokerage cash deposits to the bank as a source for loans should continue to drive significant growth in the future.
